On a Lenovo laptop, how to Reset the Password

Reset your Microsoft Account password using another device if you use your Microsoft Account to log in to your PC (i.e., you use an email address). Enter your email address, phone number, or Skype name on the Microsoft account recovery page, and then follow the instructions.
You may set up security questions after resetting your Microsoft Account password, which comes in handy if you forget it. To gain access to your account, click Forgot Password on the login screen.
Log in and change your Windows password by going to Sign-in options > Password > Change if you’re using a local account and know your password. You can have another user change your password if they are able to log in to the computer and have administrator credentials.

Log in with any password and see what happens. When the password is incorrectly prompted, select OK.

Remove the password reset disk and place it in the drive. Automatically, the Password Reset Wizard should begin.
To generate a new password, choose your USB drive with the reset disk and follow the on-screen instructions.

To reset the Windows 10 admin password, first choose Reset Password from the sign-in screen. If those steps fail, go to Control Panel > User Accounts and have another administrator change your password. The net user command from the Command Prompt can also be used to change your password.

Without a password or password reset disk, how can I factory reset my Lenovo laptop?
By starting your computer in Safe Mode, you can reset your laptop without a password. To do so, go to the sign-in screen, hold Shift, and then pick Power > Restart from the drop-down menu. Choose Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything when your laptop starts up.
